AGM Winners

The Edinburgh League AGM will be held next Thursday at the Edinburgh Sports Club at 7pm
All members are welcome to attend, especially award winners.

Awards for Murrayfield Players -

Premier division individual award - James Russell
Division 1 (George Smith Trophy) - Colin Dalgleish, Roger Thomas and Lindsay Muir
Handicap Cup Winners - Graham Muir, Colin Dalgleish and Lindsay Muir

We are having a club committee meeting next week to discuss various club issues, including fund raising and this years social event. Any suggestions would be welcomed.

There will be some disruption in the hall during Jul/Aug while a new storage pod is being added to the rear of the hall. This is good news for us as the hall will be completely clear every night. - NO more lost balls!!

And finally just a quick note to say, table tennis is not over for the year, we are still playing on Tuesday nights and the hall is available most other nights. Any inquiries welcome.

Have a good summer

Regards

Lindsay

Murrayfield III win Handicap Cup

Murrayfield III 5 Post Office II 2

The youngsters (Colin Dalgleish and Graham Muir) pulled off a great win last night at the club in the Handicap Cup final, with myself unfortunaltelly just making up the numbers. Colin played exceptionally well winning all three matches against George Oliver, Graeme booth and Ian Hislop in straight sets. Graham also played very well using his lead to his advantage and hitting some amazing forehands.
Thanks to the many supporters that turned up and the excellent cakes from Colin's mum.
Murrayfield III has had a good year winning the 1st division and Handicap Cup.
